I have been interested since childhood in all things miniature. At one stage my teachers asked me to write larger. *lol* I started doing miniature art in late 1990s and joined the "Australian Society of Miniature Art". One of my artworks was accepted into an exhibition that traveled to Europe and Britain, and to galleries in Australia in 2001. But I still like to do more 'casual' work, and love doing paintings suitable for hanging in dollhouses. This is a record of those works. Images are 150 pixels. Clicking on an image will show a larger image (actual size), if available. I collect miniature art, and have a roombox that is a miniature art gallery. See my 'Jillian Crider.com' website to see this - HERE.

Nice memories. 2 lives saved.

original watercolor miniature kittens cats garden pond dollhouse ♥  M-006 "New Discoveries"

Size: Approx. 2" x 1.5"

Medium: Original Watercolor Miniature Painting.

Details: SOLD. After doing my cute little kitten (A Tiger In The Woods - above), I wanted to do more. These were two little kitten friends awaiting adoption in a nearby animal shelter. Their innocent and curious manner made me think that all babies make new discoveries, so here I made them discover their garden pond.

My birth father and family are from this area (see bio). At the time I did this, it was converted to tea rooms and art gallery. I took advantage of eating some lovely scones with jam and cream, with my hot cuppa!

original watercolor painting beach umbrella seascape dollhouse

♥  M-009 "The Beach Umbrella"

Size: Approx. 2" x 1.5"

Medium: Original Watercolor Miniature Painting.

Details: SOLD. I adore the beach. I grew up just a few minutes' walk away from one of Adelaide's wonderful beaches. I think this image is from Henley Beach. A shady umbrella is a must. And love the little reflective pools left by the tide. I made many sandcastles in these shores.

Morning Glories glory original miniature painting watercolor dollhouse♥  M-010 "Morning Glories"

Size: Approx. 2.5" x 2"

Medium: Original Watercolor Miniature Painting.

Details: SOLD. I took a chance and did a miniature painting of morning glories trailing over an old boat shed with old peeling paint on the wooden doors. I loved the image, and it sold as soon as I listed it, so was well worth the chance. I often wonder if the boat shed still stands, along with the morning glory. Be on the look out by the Port Adelaide Sailing Club!
